Who we are
Beapon is operated by JOİ MEDYA FİLM YAPIM MÜZİK VE BİLİŞİM TEKNOLOJİLERİ HİZMETLERİ ANONİM ŞİRKETİ (Joi Medya), the data controller. For privacy questions and requests, email support@beapon.com.
Information we use
We receive information from you, your use of Beapon and the services that authenticate accounts and deliver notifications. This includes:
- Account identifiers, email address, display name and profile photograph; additional profile details such as birth date, city, country and telephone number if provided.
- Accounts you follow, notification preferences, posts, comments, question answers, conversation messages, votes, likes and reports.
- Photographs and sounds you upload, account-verification application evidence, and support correspondence.
- Device notification tokens, operating system information, notification delivery and interaction records, and technical and security records.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide accounts, profiles, content, conversations and notifications; apply your preferences; review account applications and reports; respond to support requests; and protect the service from abuse.
We use account-related activity history to understand use of Beapon and improve the service. This includes changes to follows and notification preferences, content interactions, notification taps and sending outcomes, post and link openings, and the last observed app activity and notification permission. A tap on a link notification may be counted as a link opening without confirming that the external page loaded. Detailed history is retained until account-data deletion is completed, subject to the specific preservation conditions below; statistics that cannot be linked to an individual may remain.
Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing relies on what is necessary to provide the requested service, legitimate interests in operating and securing it, legal obligations, or consent where required. Device permissions can be managed in your device settings. This policy is information about processing, not a request for blanket consent.
Approved-account invitations
When an invitation to apply for an approved account is sent, we record the recipient email address, inviting account or administrator, invitation language, expiry, sending and redemption status, and application access. We use these records to deliver the invitation, grant application access to the correct verified email account, manage invitation allowances and investigate misuse. Resend delivers invitation emails. Invitations do not subscribe recipients to marketing or guarantee account approval.
Google account information
Google sign-in provides basic identity information, such as your account identifier, name, email address and profile photograph, to authenticate and connect your Beapon account. It does not give Beapon your Google password or access to Gmail, contacts or Drive.
If you use a separate YouTube verification feature, its additional authorization is used to check the channel associated with your account application. This is separate from Google sign-in. You can revoke Google access in your Google Account settings; doing so does not delete your Beapon account.
Visibility and service providers
Public profile details, posts and comments are visible to other users. Answers and conversations are shared with the relevant participants. Authorized administrators may access information for support, moderation and security.
We use Auth0 for authentication, Cloudflare for application delivery, Supabase for database services, Resend for email, and Expo together with Apple and Google notification services for push delivery. These services process information needed for their functions, including email recipients, device tokens and notification content. Information may be processed outside your country.
Notification previews may expose text and photographs on your lock screen or connected watch. External websites and apps opened from Beapon have their own privacy practices.
Storage and deletion
Session information, preferences, icons, photographs and notification sounds may be stored on your device and reused until updated or removed.
Account and content information is retained for the functions it supports. Feed display limits are not deletion deadlines. A personal-account deletion request starts a 30-day suspension period during which you can cancel it. Managed verified accounts must first be dealt with through the account-deletion process.
After that period, the deletion process removes the information covered by it. An administrator closing an account is a separate restriction: it blocks access and retains its information for administrative review and possible recovery. It does not automatically cancel a deletion request made by the user. Where a documented legal or security need requires temporary preservation, an authorized administrator may place the account under a limited, reviewable hold. We notify the account holder of the reason, scope and review date.
After user-requested deletion, we may retain grouped, anonymous statistics such as monthly activity totals and broad age and country groups. Small groups are suppressed. Limited identity, security and administrative records may remain separately; these records are not described as anonymous. Authentication-provider records and earlier encrypted backups are not automatically erased by the current Beapon deletion process. Contact us for questions or additional deletion requests.
Your choices and rights
You can change notification preferences and device permissions. Subject to applicable law, you may request information about processing, access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability; object to processing; withdraw consent where relevant; and complain to the competent data protection authority. Contact support@beapon.com. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.
Age and updates
Beapon is intended for people aged 16 and over, subject to any higher minimum age or additional requirements that apply where they live. The current app asks you to confirm that you are at least 16 when accepting the terms after sign-in. This is a self-declaration, not independent age verification. Contact us if you believe an underage account is using the service.
We will update this policy when our practices or operator details change and provide additional notice where required.
